Samar is a practising lawyer and co-heads the corporate and commercial practice at one of Pakistan's leading law-firms, ABS & Co.

Samar works across a range of different practice areas including competition, M&A, anti-trust, tax, telecom, technology and corporate governance. She is recommended by Legal 500 and is recognised for advising on “IP law, cyberlaw, fintech and the regulation of innovative and disruptive technologies”. She has acted as lead counsel on multiple cross-border M&As involving Dubai, Singapore, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, etc. and brings important regulatory and legal insights to the table.

She is a consultant to the World Bank and is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Sheikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, LUMS. Samar holds a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Laws from SOAS, London.

She is a certified director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and serves on the Board of two licensed entities.
