Engro Enablers - (GTE) is an engineering leadership program that entails of a 12-month immersion into technical aspects of the business. It aims to align the expectations and skill set of aspiring engineering graduates with the company’s business needs. It builds a talent pipeline to groom Graduate Trainee Engineers from within the organization for future leadership roles. This continual absorption of high potential graduates ensures that future leadership positions in the company are filled by the most outstanding talent.
My time at Engro, however short, has allowed me to get insight into the ideologies and values that has preserved Engro's indistinguishable culture for so long. Engro Fertilizers Commercial Trainee Program has been created to provide employment opportunities to qualified talent in the agriculture industry. It is a 6-month program where graduates are given on the job training to prepare them for real world challenges in the agriculture industry.
Engro aims to identify potential future talent at an early stage and is on the lookout for young, talented and ambitious students to provide them with an experience-based learning and development opportunity.
As a committed, responsible, and focused organization, Engro firmly believes in nurturing and developing local talent in Pakistan. Amongst our efforts for the same, our Trade Apprentice – (TA) program targets Engineering Diploma Holders and is our feeder to cater to manpower needs at the plant site for entry level roles. This 2-year structured training program comprises of theoretical and practical learnings - outcomes of which entail thorough knowledge of our plant sites, technical proficiency of our operations, HSE and overall processes of company functions. The training program concludes with job placements at the organization for successful candidates.
The Trainee Assistant Engineers (TAE) program is designed specifically for our in-house production facility and laboratory. This 1- year training program comprises of theoretical and practical learning for Chemistry Graduates and concludes with job placements at the organization for successful candidates.
Diversity & Inclusion is in the DNA of Engro, to aid with that agenda, Engro Vopak started the ‘Tech Karo Internship Program’. The idea is to provide internships to Female & male students from underserved communities. The program is powered by Engro Vopak, Engro Energy Terminal Limited, WeConnect, and Engro Foundation. Over the years, this program has successfully completed three technological training programs; teaching technology and life skills to 170 plus female & male students from underserved areas.
