    corporate social responsibility

A robust and prosperous society is imperative for the growth of business. Built on the inclusive

Creating shared value is more than a responsibility for Engro. It is embedded in the corporate goals of the organization. We channel our passion and aspirations to positively impact Pakistan with a focus on education, health-care, livelihood, infrastructural development, and environmental sustainability.

    engro foundation

Engro Foundation is the brainchild of Engro, aimed at helping the people of Pakistan access better opportunities and life choices. Engro Foundation serves as the single platform for community engagement initiatives and social investments of all Engro affiliates, enabling them to combine financial and managerial resources to enrich lives and pave the way for sustainable living. The key themes Engro Foundation focus on livelihood, skills development, education, health, environmental sustainability as well as infrastructure development and disaster relief.

    inclusive business

Engro Foundation’s focus lies primarily on the Inclusive Business model which we believe will maximise the positive socio-economic impact of our businesses. The purpose is to target ‘bottom of the pyramid’ communities around our business operations for raising their economic conditions, thereby making our value chains strong and sustainable. This will be achieved by providing low income communities with the opportunities of skills development and livelihood. The model will enable underprivileged members of our society to emerge as potential business partners and become vendors, customers and employees in our business value chains.

    strategic community investment

Strategic community investments are initiatives taken to create positive impact in communities where Engro businesses operate. We identify and address developmental priorities in these areas and undertake projects to uplift the level of education, infrastructure, livelihood opportunities and health access.

Pakistan, along with the world, faces an unprecedented, rapidly-evolving challenge in the COVID-19 pandemic. One thing that is certain is that we must stand in solidarity and work on several fronts concurrently. The need of the hour is to target reduction of the spread and impact of this virus. For this purpose, Hussain Dawood, on behalf of Dawood Hercules Corporation, Engro Corporation, and his Family, pledged a contribution in services, kind, and cash of PKR 1 billion for the short-, medium-, and long-term. The pledge will focus on disease prevention, protecting and enabling healthcare practitioners and frontline workers, enabling patient care and facilities, and bolstering livelihoods and sustenance of the most deserving in society

    I am The Change

Launched in 2012, I Am The Change (IATC) is Engro's flagship initiative intended to recognize, facilitate and celebrate our local change agents who are working tirelessly to improve the lives of underprivileged Pakistani’s. By liaising with the welfare sector of the country, IATC seeks to combine the ambitions of these change-makers with the private sector's expertise and resources, to magnify the impact on the local community. Through this initiative, we not only recognize that change is the need of the hour but also the fact that there are people in Pakistan who have dedicated their lives to the spirit of social development and economic stewardship. These individuals have tried to address numerous problems that have affected Pakistan - poverty, hunger, health, sanitation, education, gender equality, economic growth, reduced inequality, peace, justice and many more.

EnVison is a platform to mobilize the Engro community of passionate, dedicated and ambitious employees, across all its facilities in Muridke, Dharki, Port Qasim, Karachi and Lahore. EnVison offers paid days off work for employees to volunteer their time for a non-profit cause. By enabling them to play their part in shaping the future of Pakistan, EnVison allows the employees to innovate and hones them into socially responsible leaders of tomorrow.
