Khalid Siraj Subhani takes over as President Engro Corporation Ltd.

KARACHI, May 13, 2015: The Board of Directors of Engro Corporation Limited announced the appointment of Khalid Siraj Subhani as the new President and CEO of Engro Corp.  Mr. Subhani takes over the Company from the outgoing President and CEO, Ali Ansari who served Engro for a term of three years and was responsible for effecting successful turnaround in the Company’s flagship businesses.

Khalid Subhani is a seasoned industry veteran and has been with Engro for over 32 years, having started his career as an Operations Engineer with the then Exxon Chemical Pakistan Limited in 1983. He has seen the transition and growth of Engro in different roles over the years and has been a major part of Engro’s success. An engineer by profession, Khalid Subhani has held many important roles at Engro. After his initial years he worked in various manufacturing and non-manufacturing divisions before taking on the role of CEO Engro Fertilizers in 2010 where he provided oversight for EnVen Expansion Project – world’s largest single-train urea manufacturing complex

Prior to his role as the President of Engro Corporation, Khalid Subhani was the CEO of Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited – the group’s petrochemicals business, since 2012.
